Occupational Health and Safety Person in Charge (PIC) Scheme​​​​​
Certification Scope
All factories, construction sites, and service companies operating in the Emirate of Dubai are required to appoint at least one Certified Occupational Health & Safety Person in Charge (OHS PIC) for each work shift and each work location. TSI Quality Services L.L.C S.O.C, an international awarding body, is the only approved body for the OHS PIC programme, covering certification and recertification assessments. We develop official learning resources and assessment frameworks, approve competent tutors through TSI Approved Centres, conduct examinations, and issue official certificates to successful candidates.
Certification Prerequisites
Minimum Educational Qualification

- For Construction sector:

Diploma in Civil or Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

-For Services sector:
-
Diploma in Engineering or relevant services profession or bachelor’s degree in any discipline.

- For Factories sector:
-
Diploma in Engineering or relevant profession or bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
​Work Experience (Applicable to all sectors)
Total work and supervisory experience should be at least five (5) years, that is:

Three (3) years in relevant industry or similar company activity; and
-
Two (2) years supervisory experience in similar industry or activity.
Certification Process

Apply through a TSI Approved Centre.

Sign the agreement and provide your personal information.

Attend the and complete the examination.

Achieve an overall average mark of at least 60% and a minimum of 50% in the practical application examination.

Receive your result and certificate through your TSI Approved Centre.

All OHS Practitioners in the Emirate of Dubai shall possess the following minimum educational qualification and work experience requirements prior to taking the Certified OHS Practitioner examination:

And Diploma in Occupational Health and/or Safety (Government-approved educational qualifications - national or international) with two (2) years of experience. (OR) International or National Diploma TSI/ NEBOSH / BSC / BCSP / Ofqual / NVQ with two (2) years of experience.

Certification Process

Apply through TSI’s official channels.

Attend and complete the scheduled examination.

Achieve an overall average mark of at least 60% and a minimum of 50% in each outcome: Risk Management, Application of Safety Concepts, and Health and Safety Regulations.

Receive the examination results and certification through TSI’s official channels.
Health and Safety Officer in Laborer Accommodation Scheme​​​​​
Certification Scope
Labor accommodations in Dubai are required to appoint certified Health and Safety Officers (HSOs) to ensure compliance with health, safety, and welfare regulations. TSI Quality Services L.L.C S.O.C, an international awarding body, is the only approved body for the HSO program, including the certification and recertification assessments of Health and Safety Officers. We develop official learning resources and assessment frameworks, approve competent tutors through TSI Approved Centres, conduct examinations, and issue official certificates to successful candidates.
Certification Prerequisites

Be able to speak and read the training language.

Work as a manager or supervisor in labour accommodation.

Have a minimum understanding of Health and Safety.​
Certification Process

Apply via an approved training company.

Attend the exam.

Get your result and certificate from the training company.

TSI is accredited by the Emirates International Accreditation Centre (EIAC) as an Awarding Body for Certification Scheme of Health and Safety Officers in Labor Accommodations DM-HSD-GU131-CSLA2, Version 1.1, dated 16th October 2024. The accreditation is in accordance with ISO/IEC 17024:2012.
